Students may take Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble or the audition Symphony Band as classes at Crofton High School. The groups perform several times throughout the year, including the December winter concert, the Prism Concert and an end-of-year spring concert. They also travel to the Anne Arundel County Band Festival each year, where an expert adjudicates their performances.

Crofton High School students have many other musical opportunities, including marching band, playing with the honor Jazz Band, performing in the Crofton Cabaret and volunteering with Band Blast, a feeder concert with elementary and middle school band students. Students enrolled in band classes also have the opportunity to audition for All-County and All-State Band, and to participate in the Solo & Ensemble Festival, a judged music event where students are able to perform as soloists or in a small ensemble.
